The Indian benchmark indices including Sensex and the Nifty 50 fell by 1% each during today’s trading session amid weak global cues.
Among the laggards, shares of Adani Energy Solutions, Indusind Bank, Avenue Supermarts, Bandhan Bank, Asian Paints took heavy fell to their 52-week lows, while Pearl Global Industries, Artemis Medicare Services, Fortis Healthcare, Indian Hotels Company, Sasken Technologies surged to their 52-week high.
The market capitalisation of BSE fell to ₹425 lakh crore from about ₹431 lakh crore in the previous session. This made the investors poorer by ₹6 lakh crore.
